As a Substitute: How to Pickup Assignments
1. From the Employee Portal (or Mobile App) Click "Substitute Assignments" to view:
- Recently Accepted Assignments
- Available Assignments
- Assignment Calendar
2. Available Assignments show all absences that match the substitute's schedule, skills, and availability. Subs are notified of these Available Assignments via email, text, push notification, or call (depending on your district settings).
Each assignment shows the date(s), the teacher, and various other details about the assignment. The sub can also click the View Attachment button to see any lesson plan that the teacher uploaded.
To select the assignment, the sub clicks the orange check mark.
3. If a single day absence, the sub can select the full assignment (or partial hours if allowed by district).
If a multiple day absence, the sub can select the dates that they'd like to fill in along with number of hours / day.
4. Click this button.
5. Click "Accept" once the hours and dates are filled in.
6. An assignment reference number is generated once the assignment is accepted and it now shows in the "Recently Accepted Assignments tab.
7. Substitutes can also manage their preferences in the "Settings for Substitutes" menu. NOTE: this can be turned off in the admin settings.
Here, subs can:
- Select locations to exclude
- Select non-availability days of the week
- Put in dates of unavailability.
- Opt out of calls or messages
