How can teachers set their "preferred subs" who will get notified of this teachers assignments earlier than the general sub pool



1. From the Employee Portal, teachers can set their preferred substitutes in the "Substitute Preference" menu under Time and Absences.

2. In the Substitute Preferences menu, teachers can click + Add New to then add and manage their list of preferred substitutes, including description and comments.

Adding preferred substitutes does not guarantee that this list will cover a given absence, but it does give this list an earlier notification than the general sub pool for coverage associated with this teacher.

3. Preferred Subs get notified 2 hours before the general sub pool, by default. However, this time can be edited in the Admin Settings Menu

4. If you don't want teachers to set preferred substitutes, you can turn this feature off from the User Access > Employee Port Access menu.
