How to Run a Report

Made by Helios Ed with Scribe

Helios offers ready-to-use reports accessible from the Reports Dashboard. These reports can be tailored to specific needs through filters and sorting options. You can easily refine the data they show, focusing on particular criteria. You also have the option to export this data in various ways.

2. Click here

3. Here you will see a list of all the reports you have available to you.

4. You can filter the report using this filter icon.

5. On this page, you have the option to add quick filters based on commonly used filters, location, or job class.

6. Helios also offers the option to filter reports by ANY field that exists in the Helios database.
For example: If your report only includes \

  1. Employee First Name\
  2. Employee Last Name\
  3. Employee ID\
  4. Job Class

You can choose to filter this report to only include employees who reside in a certain zip code.

Even though that field is not included in the list of fields for that selected report. That information is attached to the employees through their employee profile and it exists in the Helios database.

Let's check it out! Click "Add New Filter" under "Filter All Fields"

7. From here you can search for the field you wish to filter.

8. Click here

9. Now that we've gained some experience with filtering fields using operators, let's explore the meaning of the remaining operators. Helios provides a range of values that help filter fields in a report, ensuring users can easily view precisely the information they want in their reports.
\

  • Equal: Displays fields where the value matches exactly as entered. (Must match Helios input exactly)

- Not Equal: Only display fields in which the field does not equal the value. (Must match Helios input exactly)

- Greater Than (Or Equal): Shows fields where the value is greater than (or equal to) the specified value.

- Less Than (Or Equal): Shows fields where the value is less than (or equal to) the specified value.

- Begins With: Displays fields where the value starts with the specified input.

- Ends With: Shows fields where the value ends with the specified input.

- Contains: Displays fields where the value contains the specified text.

- Not Contains: Shows fields where the value does not contain the specified text.

- In: Displays fields where values match any of the specified entries. For instance, first name IN Amy, Ben

(Think of it like "includes")

- Not In: Excludes fields where values match the specified entries. For example, first name NOT IN amy, ben

*This shows results for all first names except Amy or Ben

- Is Blank: Shows fields that are empty, useful for identifying missing values.

- IS NOT BLANK: Displays fields with non-empty values. Useful for locating specific values.

*These options may vary depending on field type.

For this example, we will select Starts With.
