How to Link Directly to a Workflow - Easy Access for Employees to Initiate a Workflow from the Employee Portal
Workflows are versatile and timesaving. When employees have access to initiate a workflow, similar to submitting a paper form, it can streamline many processes. One way to make workflows even more accessible is to link directly to a given workflow - in an email, on a landing page, or anywhere links are stored.
1. The "Workflow Designer" is where all Workflows are housed.
2. From the Workflow Designer, locate the workflow that you'd like to link to. Click on the "Workflow Link" to copy a direct link to the given Workflow. It will look something like this: example https://gethelios.com/sandbox5-new/EmpWorkflows?workflowtypeid=3
Note: Employee access must be turned on in order for employees to be able to access the link. The Employee Portal & Workflow module must also be a part of your Helios package.
3. Now that you have a customized link, you can put that on the Employee Portal or in an email - once clicked, users will be taken directly to that workflow within the Employee Portal to initiate the workflow.
